Season of versatility

The summer in Uttendorf is the season of versatility. There are many activities to do in the summer and although Austria is well known for it's multiple hiking-possibilities, there is way more to experience than that in and around Uttendorf. In the summer Uttendorf is anyhow a great starting point to do wonderful hikes, and also in the neighbourhood there are great hiking trips to make, with a great variety of level and length.

On the pedals

Are you coming this summer with a bike or mountain bike, than there is also lots to discover. The Tauernradweg goes from Krimml to Salzburg, ánd through Uttendorf, a nice route to discover. Also there are many MTB-tracks in the neighbourhood. If you bring your bike, we are more than happy to let you use our bike shed.

Refreshing

Austria has lot's of water, and that provides lot's of possibilities. Are you in for some action, than you can go canyoning or rafting in the neighbourhood. Are you more in to some easygoing activities with water, than you can visit one of the many gorges (Klamm). Pay, for example, a visit at the Sigmund Thun Klamm in Kaprun, or the Seisenbergklamm in Weißbach bei Lofer, impressive ánd refreshing on a hot day. Do you prefer to stay closer to the pension, than you can go swimming in the Uttendorfer Badesee. A great place for young and old.

Mountaincarts and Panorama&Slide trail in the Wildkogel Arena
Hiking (whether or not with a ranger from the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern)
Swimming in one of the surrounding lakes or swimmingpools (f.e. Badesee Uttendorf, Badesee Niedernsill, Freibad Stuhlfelden, Freibad Mittersill, Badesee Hollersbach)
Visiting Musea (f.e. Nationalpark Museum Mittersill, Felberturm Museum Mittersill, Smaragdmuseum Bramberg)
